The NCCP Volleyball Workshops are offered by Volleyball NT throughout the territory.  See the links below for courses in your area.  Volleyball Canada has recently made significant changes to the NCCP Coach Pathway.  For a look at the new pathways please visit the Volleyball Canada website here. Safe Sport: Tools to Support Your Coaching in this New Era of Sport - This session will provide advice and support to some of the essential elements of Safe Sport coaching. These elements include: Boundaries: How to set and maintain strong professional boundaries with your athletes and families including social platforms and communication. Assertive coaching vs abusive coaching: How to get the most out of your athlete without crossing the line. Coaching Gen Z and Gen A: How to get be the most effective coach with consideration for the generation of athletes you are coaching and how they react and respond

Transitioning From Athlete to Coach - This session will discuss how athletes can transition from competing in sport, to becoming a coach. Sometimes, after athletes stop competing, they’re not sure what to do next or how to stay involved in their sport. Coaching is a fantastic way to give back to the sport you love and a great way to get involved in the sport community.  This session is targeting high-school age athletes.

Strategies to Build Self-Esteem and Engage Young Females in Sport - Why are girls opting out of sport and how can we help? This session will cover why girls quit sports and how coaches can help retain them. It highlights the importance of supportive environments, building confidence, forming strong connections, and involving boys and men as allies to encourage girls' participation and achievement in sports.

Multi Sport Modules required for NCCP Certification

  • Development Coach Certification:  Planning a Practice, Make Ethical Decisions, Nutrition

  • Advanced Development Coach Certification:  Plan a Practice, Make Ethical Decisions, Nutrition, Design a Basic Sport Program, Basic Mental Skills

  • Performance Coach Certification:  Managing Conflict, Leading Drug-free Sport, Psychology of Performance, Coaching and Leading Effectively, Prevention and Recovery, Developing Athletic Abilities, Advanced Planning a Practice, Performance Planning, and Manage a Sport Program.
