Volleyball NT Newsletter (December 2023 Edition): Open Territorial Championships Registration is Now Open, AWG Updates, MRA Athlete Grant and more!
2024 ARCTIC WINTER GAMES
December 7th, 2023 (Yellowknife, NT) - Thank you to all athletes who participated in the 2024 Arctic Winter Games (AWG) Territorial trials!
Congratulations to the athletes that were selected for Team NT! Team NT will participate in the 2024 AWG on March 10 - 16, 2024 in Mat-Su, Alaska.
The final travelling rosters will be announced on January 10th, 2024!
We would like to thank all of our sponsors for their contributions at the 2024 Arctic Winter Games Territorial trials in Fort Smith, NT and Hay River, NT!
These sponsors helped us reduce barriers to participation for youth in the NWT by providing services to make the athletes stay more comfortable. Special recognition to Aurora College - Thebacha Campus Mount Aven residences!

Individual and Family Grant

Up to $1500 (adult) - $3000 (youth).

NWT OUTSTANDING VOLUNTEER AWARDS
Volunteers improve our quality of life and strive to make our communities better places to live. We want to thank them for their work through the NWT Outstanding Volunteer Awards!
Anybody can nominate an individual or a group whose voluntary work strengthens and enriches Northern Life.
There are four categories: Youth (under 25), Individual (25-54), Elder (55+) and Group.
Each award recipient will receive $1000.00 to give to a volunteer organization of their choice, as well as an award recognizing them for their efforts in building our communities through volunteering, and a ceremony hosted in Yellowknife in February of 2024.
Nominations are due December 15, 2023 and can be sent to youth_and_volunteer@gov.nt.ca
